"Roaring" to go...

So I thought it was about time to write my first blog post for my new business venture!

.

Recently, I have been trying to surround myself with positive, life affirming images and phrases to psych myself up for the MASSIVE career change I have made. I found this one and instantly loved it:

.

.

But, I'm a worrier and an overthinker and to be fair, a little kooky, so...my first thought was: "Wow! Yes, love it, no more fear for you, you little braveheart chick!"

.

And this was shortly followed with: "Huh, that bridge looks an awful lot like the bridge in Jurassic Park lll, where that dreamy optimist of a guy, Billy, eventually got attacked by a pterodactyl and taken away, right?! He would have been so much safer had he not gone to Dino island, stolen velociraptor eggs and made various risky life decisions therein!"

.

If you haven't already guessed, I'm rather fond of dinosaurs, but stay with me because I promise I have a point! The thing is I LOVE those films and despite seeing the obvious and major flaws with genetically engineered dinosaurs or dinosaurs made with prehistoric DNA, I'm 100% sure that if those parks existed, I'd be on the first train there. How could I possibly turn down that opportunity? Cue the dramatic crescendo of the film's theme tune and I'd wander in misty eyed and slack jawed in awe of the experience.

.

I guess what I'm saying is, I know the step I've made is full of hazards and pitfalls but I decided to make it anyway because it could be jaw droppingly amazing and wonderful and magical. And failing that, similar to the movies, it will be a lesson and a damn good story, so why the hell not?!

.

Anyway, that dreamy paleontologist survived right? I'll survive too...

.

So, if I'm ever walking into the gym in my own world, or training you and I look a little dreamy, I've probably got the Jurassic Park score playing in my head, reminding me that:

.

  1. I must exercise if I have any hope of surviving a dinosaur revival.

  2. I must train others so I have company in said dino apocalypse (among other reasons I promise!!)

  3. Yes, this decision is scary.

  4. Yes, this journey will be exciting!
